I teach 7th and 8th grade science, middle school science electives rocketry and S.T.I.L.E., and is the head coach the 8th grade boys basketball team.

Let me start off by telling you a little bit about myself and how I came to this great state of Texas.  I was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where I have lived most of my life.  I went to Trinity Lutheran Elementary School (K-8) where I began my Christian education.  During these years, I played numerous sports, including basketball, softball, football, track and soccer.  This was my jumpstart to loving sports!  I then went to Thomas Jefferson High School where I graduated in 1997.  In high school, I played my favorite sport, basketball, and earned a scholarship to Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska.  This was the place the Lord led me in order to pursue my teaching career.  At Concordia, I majored in elementary education and concentrated in mathematics, physical education, and social sciences.  I also went an extra year to earn my middle level endorsement.  I student taught in Seward, Lincoln, and Springfield, Illinios.  I received a “call” from this school in April of 2002, which brought me to Concordia. This is my twelveth year of teaching and coaching.  I have a beautiful wife of eight years, Joy, who is also from Iowa and is currently working here at the church as Associate Director of Marketing & Public Relations.   We have two amazing children, Jayla (6 years old) and Jax (4 years old) who both attend school here at Concordia.
